Brilliant Resource for student application is a nice low stakes way. Obviously the issue here is students are thinking really hard, but not writing anything down, so this task is brilliant to get the thinking going. Its worked for every group at every level. If you've got to get your students going, this is the task for them. You can get kids writing on a higher stakes task a lot easier after this. Lvls of organization can be quite boring, but all kids love puzzles and this is a great way to have them practice identification. I'm teaching at KS3 so My only note would be to add challenge by having students match the organs to its function. Edit 6/7/23: Higher demand Function version can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/organs-tarsia-large-ks3-4-12251837 Otherwise i enjoyed using this resource and it cut down on my work load. Thank you!
The students really enjoy this! Fabulous diagrams!
