Hello,
These lessons are designed for my year 10s to cover the fourth topic ‘Peace and Conflict’ for the NEW Edexcel GCSE RS Spec B ‘Religion, Peace and Conflict through Islam’.
Lessons includes starter activity, learning objectives, differentiated tasks, engaging videos and images, stretch and challenge activities, exam questions, direct reference to scripture and denominations if applicable.
They are based on the textbook written by Ahmedi (2016). You will need it for some tasks.
The Scheme of Work recommends we spend 2 hours on each subtopic however due to time constraints I have created 1 lesson per sub topic apart from Lesson 1. I did this so we could fast track our current year 10 as need to get the course finished.
I hope you find these useful and if you need anything at all please do ask and I will get back to you soon as possible.
Many thanks,
Mel

I love these and they are saving me so much time. Can you tell me what book the case study refers to on the L2 conflict powerpoint? would it be possible to email it to me gabrielle.shahidi@talktalk.net thanks
Thank you so much for these resources
Thank you so much for sharing these resources. They will save me so much time! ONE PROBLEM THOUGH - I cannot access any of the video links and wonder if you could send me the links through for each lesson a document so I can put them in myself. My email address is patersoncaroline55@gmail.com. Please do this asap as I need to use the lessons on Thursday this week. Many thanks in advance.
Excellent resources!
I'm an RE specialist and this resource has been fantastic. Some great points of discussion with my classes nicely balanced with differentiated tasks and relevant video links. You do need to have the accompanying text book for a couple of lessons. My students have really enjoyed the lessons and the topic has re-engaged some students who had previously 'not seen the point' of RE.
