PowerPoint to introduce 6 French personality adjectives (bavard, marrant, sportif, paresseux, ennuyeux, timide). Starter is a match up j'ai/je suis exercise. Students then see the 6 adjectives and work out the ones they know/can guess. Masc/Fem differences can be discussed here. Then a series of images to clarify meanings, followed by 3-part questioning, a mini-whiteboard exercise whereby students write the correct adjective to describe the person shown. 'Images amusantes' can be used in various ways- I would get a student to stand with their back to the board and guess which adjective was being shown -class shouts 'non!' or 'oui!' Final slides give students support with adding connectives/qualifiers/time/frequency phrases to sentences e.g Monsieur Thomas est vraiment sportif et toujours marrant.
