This chart introduces letter sounds according to the phonics progression chart – this means letters are introduced in order of frequency rather than alphabetical order
•Students can begin sounding out words from day 1 which means they are immediately READING
•Recommended for students with reading difficulties but can help ALL learners
How to use :
1.Present the chart to your class.
- Go through the individual letter sounds and then practice decoding the words with students
3.Do only 1-2 sounds per session (except the first day with 4 sounds) and then reinforce with a game or activity so students don’t get bored
