This is a combination of two of my published Picture Prompts at a discount of 25%. Both of these are still available as individual products at the links below.
Story Writing Prompts for Adventure Mystery and SciFi
Date with a Monster
Both sets consist of picture prompts with essay writing templates, and large image slides which can be laminated and used according to the teacher's wishes. All of these are PDF files.
The 'Date with a Monster' resource contains a simple set of picture prompts using cartoon images of monsters for stimulating the imagination for the writing of diary entries and newspaper interviews. These are divided into 18 picture prompts of two different sets of materials for a 'Date with a Monster' diary writing, and an 'Interview with a Monster' reporting task. They can be adapted for most levels and an explanation of how they can be used in the classroom is included.
The 'Story Writing Prompts for Adventure Horror Mystery and SciFi' can be used for ESL classes and would also be suitable for younger students and others that may require further practice in writing and making short stories that have a beginning, middle and conclusion. These are divided into four topic areas; adventure, mystery, horror and scifi. There are four of each type with or without prompts, so the teacher can decide which to use based on the needs of the individual student or class.
A more detailed explanation can be found in my TES store on the respective pages of each resource. Please use the links at the beginning of this text to view both.
