This is a KS3 lesson on plate boundaries however, it can be easily adapted for a GCSE lesson. Key facts about the lesson are:
1. The content covered by the lesson are; Convection currents recap, what happens at the four (4) types of plate boundaries, identifying the different plate boundaries on a map, and how are hazards formed at different plate boundaries.
2. Learning resources used in the lesson are; quiz, diagrams, a map task, word bank and a handout, video clips and analysis tasks. Answers for most of the tasks are also included for self assessement. This will aid with marking load.
3. Differentiation used in the lesson are: word bank, model answers, challenge tasks, diagrams (for those who find drawing these difficult)
4. The lesson is planned in detail and all the resources for teaching the lesson are included in the ppt; starter, learning activities with resources, clear outline of learning tasks and a plenary. Just download and teach!
