‘Poetry, Pattern, Rhyme & Rhythm’ is one of a series of outstanding assemblies created for the primary classroom, which includes full script, songs and prayers with a part for every child. This assembly is ready to go!

‘Poetry, Pattern, Rhyme & Rhythm’ unites all aspects of the English Curriculum together through: Speaking and Listening, Drama, Poetry & Recital, with a theme that is rooted in a love of words and is relevant to the children’s everyday lives and interests.

This assembly teaches that pupils can speak and write fluently so that they can communicate their ideas and emotions to others. Through language, they showcase how to develop culturally, emotionally, intellectually, socially and spiritually. From Twinkle Twinkle to The Greatest Showman, the message is clear; through the enjoyment of reading, recital and expression, each and every child has a place in the classroom.

There is a part for every child – whether acting, singing, dancing or leading a prayer - and a little audience participation thrown in!

Plans created by an Ofsted Good/Outstanding classroom teacher – History and Drama co-ordinator – with over ten years of experience. These outstanding assemblies have consistently engaged and excited all 30 performers in class … and have even got the adults in the audience up on their feet!
