Position and Direction - Functional Skills Maths - Entry Level 3

This resource has been designed for students working towards Functional Skills Maths qualifications at Entry Level 3(Edexcel-Pearson, NCFE, City and Guilds and Open Awards). It contains an age-appropriate, 34-page workbook and a 90 Slide PowerPoint lesson on Outcome 20: Use appropriate positional vocabulary to describe position and direction including eight compass points and full/half/quarter turns.

PowerPoint Lesson

The editable, 90 Slide PowerPoint lesson provides many opportunities for pupils to develop their knowledge and understanding of position and direction and to apply this to solve real-life problems. The PowerPoint contains a link to a short video on movement and direction. It is an ideal resource to introduce the position and direction component of the Entry Level 3 specification and for revision purposes.
