Simple board game, to either introduce or extend children in the knowledge of the prefixes and suffixes from the year 5 National Curriculum.
Game Rules need to be printed double sided, and gameboard can be printed both A4/A3 size.
Work in pairs or small groups, children are given a copy of the game rules and a list of well-known words that use the prefixes and suffixes to assist in their gameplay and assessment.
Children can be given whiteboards to write their word down, allowing to assess spelling as well as spoken language.
Plenary Idea - Have the prefix and suffixes on a wall/IWB, have children write one from each category then ask children to create sentences using those words (tables awarded with the most interesting sentences).

Hi haven't played this yet but am a little confused - are the suffixes and prefixes the wrong way round or have I missed something??
