This game is similar to the popular Catchphrase game. If the team answers the question correctly, then the box disappears and a section of a picture appears. I created this game as a final lesson for Pride Month.

The questions are aimed at secondary school aged learners. Answers are included.

Instructions

  • Split the students into equal teams.
  • Twenty questions will appear on the board. The aim of the game is for each group to answer the questions correctly and to correctly identify the three LGBTQ+ celebrities that are hidden behind the boxes.
  • Each team, when it is their go, will pick a question that they want to answer. They will say the number assigned to this question. If the teams gets the question right, then the teacher will click on the box and the box will then disappear. A section of one of the ‘hidden’ picture will then be revealed. The team can then take a guess to who this celebrity is.
  • Each question that’s answered correctly is worth 1 point! If the hidden celebrity is correctly identified by the team, then this is worth five points!
  • The team with the most points, wins!

The good thing about the game is that even if the pictures are correctly identified, the teams can carry on playing the game to obtain points.
