A short taster lesson for English to deliver to visiting Year 5 students or perhaps Year 6 students on transition days. A simple and creative lesson based on seasonal poem which combines some response to text and creativity. Students learn some poetic terminology - discover them and their effect in a provided seasonal poem, followed by creatively writing their own seasonal poem. Resource includes: lesson Power Point with notes; writing frame resource; images hand outs (for inspiration or decoration). Nice and easy - if you’re stuck for something to do with the little visitors. Self-explanatory lesson which is easy for both students and teachers to follow.
