This is a whole lesson purely on prime numbers.
The following topics are covered,
- What is a prime number?
- How to show a number is not prime.
- T he prime numbers up to 50.
I then go down a different route and allow my class to test some high level theories such as,
-Fermat's little theorem
-The fundamental theorem of arithmetic (Ties in well with prime factorisation)
-Goldbach's Conjecture.
The lesson also includes a star question for them to think about by the end of the lesson!
