Printing With Three Overlays Art Unit - KS2

Within this resource, I have included a Topic Cover page (which includes targeted vocabulary and key facts) and a scheme of work which shows the progression of knowledge and learning intentions.

The main focuses:

-relief and impression printing techniques

• experimenting with different materials for printing
• colour palettes
• overlaying prints to create a final design
  These lessons have been taught to a Year 5 class.

At the end of the unit, the children will complete an assessment task which looks to answer the question that the unit has been designed around - Which colours are the most effective when overlaying?

It has been taught with 2 week unit in mind, but could be spread across an entire half term.
