This is an ideal resource for allowing students to work independently on their Python Programming skills. It could be used with able students that are transitioning from KS3 to GCSE as an option at KS4.

It can also be used to give students confidence with programming because it allows students to work creatively or to copy what is in the workbook to create a solution. This prevents students that struggle with computational thinking from getting stuck and not moving forward.

A collection Practical Python Skills that progress towards those needed to complete the GCSE Computer Science Practical Exam for EdExcel. The resource combines example Python code with brief explanations of what they are doing. The resource is simple and will aid teachers in explaining Python Programming confidently. It would be a good resource for teachers to practice before delivering Python to students. It would also be a good resource for enabling independent students to ensure they have secure knowledge in each aspect of Python Programming on their own.

Members of staff that don’t have time to learn Python in their own time will benefit from being able to see clear practical examples of Python Programming and allowing students to work ahead.
