Rationalizing the denominator is a mathematical technique used to simplify fractions that have a radical (such as a square root) in the denominator. It involves multiplying the numerator and denominator by a cleverly chosen value that eliminates the radical from the denominator, making the fraction easier to work with.
In this puzzle, the students solve the problem, locate the answer in the grid, cut it out and cover the question. his is repeated to reveal the answer. Hopefully it makes sense.
