This RE SMART and PPT is a series of six lessons and all resources based on RE planning for the unit “What is important to Sikh people?”
Each lesson starts with a sticky knowledge retrieval quiz and vocabulary activity.
Activities include group photo labelling tasks; mool mantra analysis task; prediction task based on the story of Guru Nanak and the river; mind map of reactions to Guru Nanak’s teachings; character thought bubble task linked to Sikh stories; Amrit ceremony diary entry; khanda labelling activity; 5 Ks drawing and labelling task; langar task; and a seva newspaper story comprehension.

Lessons include videos, group/partner discussion, group tasks, individual tasks and making links to children’s own lives. All resources are included, and there is a printing requirement list for the whole unit. Please note - the SMART and PowerPoint contain the same content, but you need Notebook software to open SMART.
