Reading Comprehension Lessons

A series of reading comprehension lessons - 26 lessons in total.

The lessons were originally created to support students in Year 10/11 who struggle with reading, comprehension specifically. Each lesson focuses upon building the same reading based skills and therefore builds students’ confidence. The gradual introduction of English Language Paper 1 analysis and structure skills are subtly woven into the units also. The extracts used alternate between fiction and non fiction to support with overexposure of GCSE reading material.

A template of the original lesson outline is included which details the basis of the worksheets and how they can be adapted.
