This reading comprehension bundle includes 4 lovely fiction stories. The vocabulary is age-appropriate and children are encouraged to work out the meaning of words in the context of the story. The subject matters are familiar to the children and so there are cross-curricular themes. The booklets cater for all level of readers - The Chase being the easiest. Booklets 2 are divided into sections. So each paragraph is followed by questions. Some of the questions require the reader to 'read between the lines'. Not only is a child's comprehension assessed but other English key skills are incorporated. The resource can be given to more able pupils to work on independently. The booklets can also be used in guided reading sessions. The questions are extensive so the children can answer a set of questions in one session and do another set of questions in another session.
