Research and Develop a Topic

In Research and Develop a Topic learn to identify credible online sources and make an interactive research document with basic coding.

Duration: 3-4 hours. Students use Apps Script, Docs and Search.

The resource is video-based and features Free, ready-to-use lesson plans, rubrics to enable teachers to evaluate a student’s work across a variety of skills and levels of proficiency (i.e. beginner, developing, accomplished, and exemplary) and a dashboard to show how each student is progressing.

By the end of these lessons, students should be able to:

• Define a problem, research question, or goal
• Collaborate with others to conduct research and develop digital artifacts
• Discuss and perform basic and advanced internet search strategies
• Evaluate the bias of digital information sources and select sources of information for credibility, accuracy, and relevance
