This text is a National Geographic Kids Reader. The book we used was Level 2 however we understand that some levels differ depending on the country where the text is published.

The activities allow the students to reinforce their understanding of rocks and minerals by completing activities that work with this text. There are comprehension questions, a glossary activity and a compound word activity plus writing tasks. There is also a vowel build-up puzzle and a teacher answer sheet is provided for the puzzle.
