This is a super clear, colourful power point which guides students through the theme of science in ‘Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’. It is best used for revision or once the students have finished reading the novel.
There are discussion points, activities to test knowledge of the novel and opportunities to analyse language. Context is also fully covered.
The lesson ends with an extract question suitable for the AQA exam but easily adapted for Eduqas or Edexcel. There is also a really detailed plan which illustrates how to write a top-level essay.
This lesson worked very well with my year 11 students who went on to write excellent essays on this theme.
