SEN literacy fruit based activity!- Introduce new fruits!

Every Friday at our LAC Secondary SEN school, we introduced 4 different fruits each week for students to try.

They really enjoyed this activity and were amazed by how many different fruits they’d never seen before and even students who flat out refused to engage initially, were involved and trying new fruits by the end of the first 6 week run.

This worksheet was given at the end of term and worked well as they wanted to compete with each other on how many fruits they could remember. Worksheet contains a gap fill with all the fruits and a drawing activity. We did the first few together and then they completed it independently.
