This is an engaging coloring activity over simplifying rational expressions. Students will be simplifying 15 rational expressions (of two variables a and x) by factoring the numerator and denominator and reducing the common factors using factoring out the greatest common factor, factoring polynomials by grouping, difference of two squares, difference of cubes, perfect square trinomials. After simplifying, the student finds their answer in a table. This tells them what color to use in the coloring page. Students are asked to show work on recording sheets provided.
Answer key is included.
