Simultaneous Equations with 3 variables

• Print double sided so answer will be on back
• Cut page into 3 questions

As an introduction into 3 variable simultaneous equations, have students in groups of 2/3.
Give each group a question (I try to hand out the Q’s so that groups near each other don’t have the same Q - can tell with the symbols).
I then ask them, using their knowledge of solving 2 variable equations, can they figure out how to solve these!
The answers are on the back so they can check as they go.
Any group that finishes early, I give a new question (new symbol).
It usually is well received and they like the challenge!
