Time to deliver: 2 hours depending on the ability of the group. This lesson focussing on Product Design sketches. It begins with how to generate intial idea sketches that can be used to develop into a final product using isometric sketching techniques. Resources included are a work booklet and powerpoint. I have used this resource to assist a lot of low ability lessons and used it with gifted and talented pupils to refine their skills. Rendering techniques, sketching techniques and making your designs stand out are the basis of this lesson. Resources needed:
- Class set of booklets
- Powerpoint
- Samples of acrylic, plywood and aluminium
- Coloured pencils
- drawing pencils
- Coloured ink pens (if you like)
- Isometric paper
