This Teach, Practise, Extend PowerPoint resource focuses on informal and formal language
In total there are five slides:
Slide 1/2 (teach) - Definition and explanation of informal and formal language with examples.
Slide 3 (practise) - Children are asked to list of words and phrases under the headings 'Informal Language' and 'Formal Language'. They are also asked to identify the formal language in a sentence.
Slide 4 (extend) - Children are asked to read a informal letter and rewrite it using formal language.
Slide 5 - the answers for the active on slide 5
The resource is colourfully designed and can clearly be seen from a distance making it ideal to display on the Interactive Whiteboard. It is also extremely good value for money, providing you with a straightforward and highly effective teaching resource. Great for a lesson starter, revision or early morning activity!
