Stability and centre of mass - full lesson.

Presentation that goes through centre of mass and stability. Relates stability to various situations (acrobatic stunts and rock balancing) and toys (balancing egg and the butterfly/bird that balances on its beak). Includes a quick activity to find the centre of mass of unsymmetrical objects. Uses moment (turning forces) to help explain stability, this should have been taught first. The balancing egg can be made from hollow decorating eggs with a ball bearing stuck in the bottom with plasticine. Finishes by relating stability to the real world situation of bus stability testing and includes 2 GCSE questions to finish.
