They use 'POETIC' as a means to analyse any poem
P=Purpose (why has it been written)
O = Organisation (Stanzas, rhyme etc)
E = Emotions (How does it make you feel?)
T = Techniques (alliteration, similes. metaphors, sibilance etc)
I = Individual words that have a specific effect
C= Contrasts within the poem
