This is a 2 hour lesson aimed at a year 8 class to introduce TV programmes genres and opinions).

Objectives:
1.- To be able to recognise TV programme genres in French .
2.-To be able to write about TV programmes you like/dislike using opinions

Lesson:

1.Starter: Match up English TV programmes (pictures) to their French equivalent. Great to introduce the topic by including some French culture.
Slide can be printed to be handed out.Answers included on the next slide.
2. Match up English/French phrases- Tv programmes genres ( book from vocab). Differentiated starter (Bronze, Silver, Gold). Slide can be printed to be handed out. Answers included on next slide.
3. Listening Exercise from Studio 3 (ex 1p8). Includes slide with exercise to show in class+ slide with answers.
4.SOUND GAME- guess the theme tune by writing/saying the French tv genre. (Use the attached sound files)- Slide for answers included but the order of the files is your choice, can be adapted.
5. Introducing opinions from book.Differentiated activity.
6. Writing activity slide.
7. Plenary- Reordering by preference
8. Other plenary choice- vocab test(with answers)
