This fun set not only gives you and/or your students a chance to color, but it also gives the challenge of finishing the outline of the intricate design themselves.

How to use this resource?
Students can use mirrors to help them to see the final image! The opportunity is there to copy from both the left and the right side of the image… fun challenge to test symmetry skills!

Finishing off
Once completed the outline, encourage your students to examine the color wheel to use complimentary, analagous, warm or cool colors for a different effect for each one. Use this as a research opportunity to explore the color palettes most widely used to complete these images.
An extra fun activity for older students is to see the history of Sugar Skulls and tattoos which have become increasingly popular.
