Super or Silly Words Phonics PowerPoint
A fully interactive PowerPoint for reading and distinguishing between real and made-up words. 32 words in total. Children use their phonic knowledge to decode and read the word and decide if it is a super (real) word or silly (made-up) word. If they think the word is a super word, they click on the superhero character button. If they think the word is a silly word, they click on the Silly Nonsense character button. Correct answers are rewarded with superhero style congratulations slides. Wrong answers result in Silly Nonsense slides with funny monsters and sound effects.
