Surds Lesson

The powerpoint is a complete lesson on Surd, suitable for students studying at the GCSE Mathematics level. Four learning objectives are covered including simplifying surds, rationalising the denominator, expand and simplifying surds and factorising surds. There is a Maths Trivia on Golden Ratio, which brings to the fore how surds are used in real life. There is a starter, pre-requisite knowledge check, main activities and a plenary. The plenary consists of three different types of questions; reasoning, problem-solving and exam type questions
