This is a 3 week cycle of reading for year 2, complete with PPT planning, lesson by lesson slides with accompanying comprehension questions and resources day by day. The unit starts with text annotation for the legend of King Arthur and a non-fiction text annotation. The story is analysed page by page with vocabulary defined for each page. Children can answer questions on the slides together and then in their books. There is partner practice and opportunities to write summaries and a brief diary entry. This is very prescriptive and detailed and will be a life saver for those covering this story.
