In this lesson plan, pupils are challenged to work in a group using their creativity to transform an ordinary chair into a glorious throne fit for a champion. Pupils are asked to consider the concept of ‘champions’ and identify people who are important to their local community.
Aimed at KS1 & KS2, students are asked to look for normal everyday things that can be used to transform the chair into a colourful, special throne to welcome their Champion to their Coronation Big Lunch event.
