This scheme includes approximately 26 hours of high-quality, A-Level lessons, on The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood, working through the novel chronologically and looking at all of the key themes, ideas and relevant criticality, whilst also providing model answers throughout and quotation banks on the key themes.
The lessons were designed for an A-Level class working towards the A-Level Edexcel comparative exam on Handmaid’s Tale and Frankenstein. This unit of work was taught following a unit of work on Frankenstein (also available for download). Frankenstien is referred to very occasionally in the unit but can easily be adapted if this is not relevant.
