The Separation of Powers in the UK teacher resources for a 60 minute lesson. Contains a powerpoint and worksheet on the separation of powers in the uk. Suitable for courses at level 3 including A level law, A level Politics and Access to HE law & Politics . There is a student copy and teacher copy of the worksheet with answers. The worksheet is designed to accompany the Youtube clip on the topic created by e-lawresources.co.uk and students will need to watch the video to complete the first worksheet . The worksheet contains a table to fill out and then identifying ways of infringement, independence and checks and balances . Thereis also a homework task with further questions based on the video and a teacher copy with answers. The 5 question starter on the power point relates to the rule of law. This can be changed if you have not yet studied this topic. The lesson should take approx 60 mins. There are suggested timings in the powerpoint at the end of the slide. In addition to the starter, there are 3 tasks and a plenary.
