This is an abridged version of The Tempest, written with young actors in mind. It allows for an ensemble cast of 20, which is flexible if you double up on principals or bring back some of the cut characters and scenes from the original. It is written with physical theatre and ensemble / movement work in mind.
The language is a helpful balance of authentic and contemporary and the focus of the plot being magic, revenge, betrayal and forgiveness.
