The Twits - Speechmarks

This presentation contains the chapter 'Funny Walking Stick&', which was used to look at text. Children used the text to notice features of speech marks, which we wrote as success criteria for the Working Wall. They then split into two groups while on the carpet - one side reading only speech, and the other side reading the narrative; this helped the children to understand how to recognise when speech starts and ends.
