These resources will help pupils to achieve these outcomes:
know the number of days, weeks and months in a year
use a calendar and write the date in day/month/year format
tell the time on an analogue clock, including clocks using Roman numerals
tell the time using the 24-hour digital clock systems
convert between 12 and 24 hour time
convert between hours, minutes, seconds
add up to three lengths of time given in minutes and hours
solve real-life problems involving time
PowerPoint Lesson
The editable PowerPoint lesson explains everything pupils need to know about time at Entry Level 3. It provides many examples and opportunities for pupils to practise these skills. It also contains real-life problems that involve time. The PowerPoint contains links to several videos on time and example time exam questions. It is ideal for introducing the time component of the specification and for revision purposes.
Workbook
The workbook includes 23 explanation pages, 40 worksheets, 3 progress checks and a certificate of achievement. It is available in PDF and an editable PowerPoint version. It can be used for classwork, homework, revision or as an independent learning pack.
