Each sheet consists of a table with eg 8x on it, the table consist of a first row with the multiplication sentence including their answers in order 2x8, 3x8, 4x8 etc. The following eight rows have the same tables on each row from 2x to 10x in a random order. Children read the sheet from top to bottom and it is amazing how it helps them learn that multiplication table.
I have found that children are happy to sit with a stop watch and time themselves. They can then see how much quicker they get each time. Once they have mastered that multiplication set, they can go on and complete the same sheet (uploaded separately) where they have to fill in the answers themselves.
This really does work! Repetition is definitely the mother of retention!
