‘Unravelling the Unusual’ is a unit of work for Key Stage 1 children using a collection of black and white picture resources. There are 10 pages, with 12 pictures on each page.
Each picture is unusual in some way and can be classed in different ways such as silly, useless or wrong.
Examples include the bucket with holes, the train with square wheels, a fingerless glove and a child riding a donkey back to front.
The activities included are engaging and are designed to develop speaking, listening, writing, and creative thinking skills.
