Each partner gets a copy of the crossword puzzle; 1 has all of the down words and 1 has all of the across words. All answers are the names of the 50 states. Definitions are given to help your partner complete his puzzle. Depending on the level of the students or material being studied, definitions may be state capitals, geographic location, cities, rivers, tourist sites etc. Partners converse until they complete both of the puzzles.
