Group Task –

Hand out the cards with different ‘ways to assess’ on. Students to stick them on the whiteboard under the headings ‘effective’ or ‘ineffective’.

Open Questions:
• Does everyone agree with each other’s choice of heading?
• Did the students group the more ‘common’ assessment types under ‘effective’?
Question their groupings – Are their choices more effective or are they the assessments the students are more familiar with?
