This is a fully differentiated, sixteen slide lesson looking at the poem, “What Were They Like,” by Denise Levertov. The lesson helps learners understand the key contextual elements surrounding the poem and how to apply these details to a written response. The lesson has many opportunities for AFL as well as an example response.
This lesson works well both online and face-to-face and has been tried and tested with my own groups.
