Description:
I am working towards boards are a behaviour support, and positive reinforcement tool aimed at keeping the learner motivated by providing clear visual steps along with reward tokens that can be earned towards that reward choice the learner has pre-chosen. This resource is suitable for parents, learners, teachers, support staff and other professionals it can be adapted depending on the setting you’re using it for.

Use:
At the beginning of a task or set of tasks the child is given the prompt to choose what they would like to work towards. The child then places their choice in the working towards box. Adult writes each expected task under the taken boxes and the child earns a token for each task or step they complete. The child is able to see visually that they are getting closer to their choice/reward.

Advice:
Laminate the choice board/symbols and add velcro to the boxes and back of symbol cards. Once laminated you can write on the board itself under each step you want the child to take.
