This is an original play script written for Key Stage 2 but could also be used in Key Stage 3.
There are speaking parts for at least 25 children, as well as non-speaking parts, but extra speaking roles can easily be added.
There are recommendations for suitable songs to go with each scene, although these would need to be bought/downloaded separately.
It is based on four modern day school children who go back in time to discover more about life during the war. It includes scenes about evacuation, rationing, the homeguard and other aspects of everyday life.
