Writing Notebook for 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th Grades {INTERACTIVE} Lesson Plan Pages

This interactive writing notebook is perfect for adding a little extra fun to your writing lessons! I have compiled all of my interactive lessons and activities that I use to teach the Common Core Writing Standards to my fourth graders. This is an interactive Writing Notebook that is aligned to the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade Common Core Writing Standards and I’ve also included the alignments in my sample. I use this notebook at the end of each year to ensure that my students have a working folder as evidence for my district that they have shown writing growth throughout the school year.

Each of the 24 lessons includes a photo of the finished product (some foldables require information for student choice writing pieces), several lessons include how-to photos with gluing and cutting, FAQ page, a teacher’s guide to implementing and a table of contents guide, teacher’s instructions for each lesson (some lessons refer to BrainPop videos and some do not use outside resources), student notebook cover page, and student page (templates).

You will find that all of the information needed to begin your portfolios or writing pieces is in here as the writing common core focus with this interactive notebook is Opinion, Informative and narrative writing. This is NOT simply a product full of templates and organizers that require hours of research and prep time - I have included everything you will need to fill up your writing journals. I have also included a power point version of each foldable template that is blank so you can adapt when necessary to meet your needs as well as ten extra foldables to use however you like.

This is TRULY an interactive WRITING notebook with templates that fold for students to use in writing their pieces: opinion, informative, and narrative.

In the preview you file, you will also find a table of contents and several sample pages that include some lesson pages with teacher instructions, interactive foldable samples as well as a teacher guide page and FAQ.

I have included are 24 lessons for the Writing CCSS grades 3rd-6th as well as a power point file of blank foldables and ten extra foldables for you to use and edit as you wish which are in a Power Point format. I’ve also included a SMART notebook file of the Interactive Writing notebook for you to use with your SMART board, just in case. (Please note that you won’t be able to open this file unless you are at school or you have the SMART notebook program on your personal computer.)
