This Year 1 science resource helps children to understand the process of observing changes in plants over time. They will make predictions, identify changes and record their observations through drawing and writing, using a Plant Log. Children will learn useful topic-related words, be posed interesting questions (Think-lets), follow highly structured teaching slides (Teach-lets) and work independently to observe and record their findings.
This resource provides a single challenge - to predict, observe and record their findings about the changes in plants over time. It is modelled and scaffolded using Teach-lets and useful words to prompt writing. The Plant Log - Prediction and Observation sheet is included.
