I have added the updated version of my planning, flipchart and worksheets with a few amendments. These new files have a 2019 prefix. I have also included a WILF that shows the small steps, with targets for the unit and a mini assessment for the children to complete at the end of the unit. I have tried to include everything as a PDF too.
This is my next unit of work. It contains planning for 10 lessons with the structure and activities taken from the White Rose Maths small steps. I have kept the planning quite simple - moving towards an intro/let’s learn… let’s talk about it… Let’s do it and Let’s use it - approach. I have also added a misconceptions section - taken from the GLOW maths hub planning as I felt that was missing from previous plans. I have included suggestions for continuous provision opportunities.
There are 50 flipchart slides to guide you through each lesson with lots of talking and problem solving/greater depth opportunities. The flipcharts have been created using ActivInspire. A viewer version is available to download free at: https://support.prometheanworld.com/download/activinspire.html
You maybe able to import/convert it though your software or failing that I have also included it as a PDF so you can use it that way.
The workseets are added as 2 separate files as some are portrait orientation and some are landscape. Most are differentiated 2 or 3 ways. Activities for all 10 lessons are included, along with greater depth/challenge activities for most lessons. The worksheets are visual and structured making good use of different arrays and scaffolding/modelling the correct vocabulary and ways of recording. The worksheets have been made using our school cursive script. I have included all the worksheets as WORD documents if you would like to change the font but have also included them as PDFs if you want to print/use them as they are. If I find anything else of use to support the teaching of this unit, I will add it to this upload.
