This resource can be used by both teachers and parents. ‘One a Day’ is a series of booklets for Year 2 children that give them an opportunity to practise addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and other concepts from the 2014 national curriculum for five minutes each day. (30 daily activities)
For teachers:
Use in the classroom daily as a morning activity or as a starter in your mathematics lessons. They are progressive and a means of consolidating taught skills or assessing their understanding or misconceptions of new concepts before planning lessons. They can also be used to support children in intervention groups or used as homework booklets.
For parents:
Let your child do one page a day and then check the answers with them, discussing their mistakes and explaining the concepts.
